Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his team members.

Healing from Light Wounds

The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the sports world had expressed sympathy for the star in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
