This young athlete boasts impressive social media audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her professional golf debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, received a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple golf courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He basically suggested to play and have fun," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she can get advice from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better human being. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face some of most prominent players in the sport at the competition, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, specifically among youth audiences.
The social media influencer has a massive following and has started an exclusive fashion and living label.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
